Easy care routine

Hand wash in lukewarm water, gently reshape while damp, and let it air dry — Nimbus cat cave holds its shape and looks like new, wash after wash.

Fit all size you needed

Our Medium fits most cats up to 10 lbs (roughly Sphynx, Abyssinian, or similarly-sized breeds), while our Large comfortably fits cats up to 20 lbs. If your cat falls between sizes, we recommend sizing up for extra room to stretch out.

My cat loves this bed! It’s a lot thicker than I expected and she loves hiding in it or squishing it down and sleeping on top of it. She won’t sleep anywhere else now! It didn’t even take any convincing for her to use it either. It holds its shape well and is easy to straighten out after she squishes it down. We could have gotten away with getting the small size but she enjoys the extra space in the large one

Very nicely made warm cat bed

Cat beds have always been hit or miss; I could never seem to get a bed that all 3 of my cats would use. I took a chance on this one, and WOW it exceeded my expectations!!! Within minutes of it being out, all three were obsessed with it. They LOVE the material, for rubbing, scratching, kicking, etc. They take the longest naps in it too. Months later, the bed is still sturdy, soft, and holding its shape, and there's almost always one cat using it at all times. They actually rarely sleep inside the bed. If one of them is inside, another will lay on top and force them out, so they're almost always sleeping on top. It's really easy to pop the top back to restore its shape. Before buying I was unsure if I should get a medium vs large, and I went with medium to test it out. Recently I got a second bed in large to compare the two! In my pictures, medium is gray and large is white. There's not much of a difference in size. The large is roomier, but really not by much. All of my cats including my 15 pound ragdoll could comfortably sleep inside/on top of the medium. However, I would recommend the large bed for the extra room, and now that they have options it's clear that the large bed is the preferred choice. When the large bed came in, I couldn't even unwrap it from the packaging before my cats were rubbing their faces against it. This was BY FAR the best purchase for them, and I can't recommend it enough!!!

Can the Nimbus cave be cleaned?

Nimbus is designed to stay fresh with minimal effort. The natural lanolin in merino wool gives it some built-in resistance to moisture and light stains, so a gentle wipe with a damp cloth is usually all it needs. For a deeper clean, hand wash in lukewarm water and reshape while damp. Avoid the washing machine or dryer — heat and agitation can damage the felt structure.

Is it really warm in winter and cool in summer?

Yes — this comes from the wool itself, not a special treatment. Merino wool is naturally temperature-regulating: it traps warmth close to your cat's body in cooler months, while its moisture-wicking properties help release heat and stay breathable when it's warm out. The result is a bed that adapts with the seasons instead of trapping heat or cold.

Does Nimbus have a smell?

Nimbus is made from 100% natural merino wool with no synthetic treatments or added chemicals — part of what makes it eco-friendly. Because of that, it carries a very faint, natural wool scent when it first arrives, which most cats find genuinely interesting rather than off-putting. This scent fades naturally within the first week as the cave airs out.

What size cat is Nimbus suitable for?

Our standard size comfortably fits most cats up to around 6–7 kg (13–15 lbs), including medium-framed breeds like British Shorthairs and Norwegian Forest Cats.
