Each Cat Cave is handcrafted from natural wool using a felting process. No separate cushion, foam layer, or synthetic stuffing is needed.
Due to the nature of wool, slight variations in color, texture, thickness, size, and shape may occur.
Care Instructions
Light Cleaning
Use a lint roller or a vacuum cleaner on a low setting to remove loose fur, dust, and debris.
Spot Cleaning
Clean small stains with cool water and a small amount of mild, fragrance-free soap. Avoid soaking the entire product when spot cleaning is sufficient.
Deep Cleaning
- Hand wash gently in cool water
- Use a mild, wool-safe detergent
- Do not use bleach
- Do not wring or twist
- Do not machine wash
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape while damp
- Fill with clean towels if needed to maintain shape
- Air dry completely before use
Shape Maintenance
The Cat Cave may arrive compressed or become flattened over time.
Gently reshape it by hand. A garment steamer can be used carefully from a safe distance to soften the wool fibers before reshaping. Avoid overexposing the product to steam, and allow it to dry completely before use.
Important Notes
- Pancake Mode is a normal and intended function.
- Natural wool products may have slight variations.
- Ensure the product is completely dry before use.
- Inspect regularly and discontinue use if severely damaged.
- Always choose the appropriate size for your cat.
Each PawsieBox Cat Cave is made from 100% New Zealand wool and felted into shape. Because wool is a natural material, slight variations in color, texture, size and shape are normal, making every cave one of a kind.
For everyday care, remove loose fur and debris with a lint roller or a vacuum on a low setting. Spot clean with cool water and a small amount of mild, fragrance-free soap.
For a deeper clean, gently hand wash in cool water. Do not bleach, wring, machine wash or tumble dry. Reshape the cave while damp and allow it to air dry completely.
Your Cat Cave may arrive slightly compressed after shipping. Gently reshape it by hand or fill it with towels for a few hours to help restore its form.
